About The Scholarship

The KAIST Graduate Scholarship helps talented students from other countries. You do not need a separate application for funding. When you get admitted the university will automatically consider you for these programs.

The main funding programs are

  • The KAIST University Scholarship this is the basic funding package
  • (KGPS) KAIST Global Presidential Scholarship
  • KAIST Prestige Scholarship (KPS) for PhD students
  • The KAIST CoE PhD Fellowship

What Benefits Covered by KAIST

  • Full tuition fee exemption
    • Master’s degree covers 4 semesters
    • Integrated Master’s and PhD covers up to 10 semesters
    • PhD degree covers up to 8 semesters

Who Can Apply for KAIST 2026 Spring Intake?

  • Open to international students only (non-Korean citizens).
  • Master’s applicants need a bachelor’s degree.
  • PhD applicants need a master’s degree.
  • If you are in your final year of study you can still apply. You will need a document that states your expected graduation date.
  • Language requirements:
    • TOEFL iBT score of 83
    • IELTS score of 6.5
