What is the PEGASO PhD Scholarship 2026?
This scholarship comes from the Tuscany Region in Italy. The University of Florence uses it to support good PhD students. You do research for three years and get money every month. Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the University of Florence PEGASO PhD Scholarships 2026 you must meet the following requirements:
- International and Italian students can apply.
- You must have a Master’s degree or an equivalent university qualification that is accepted by the University of Florence.
- Students who will complete their Master’s degree before the PhD programme starts can also apply.
- If you apply before graduation you must provide proof of your degree after you receive it. Otherwise your admission may be cancelled.
Additional Requirements for the PEGASO Scholarship
To receive a PEGASO Scholarship you must also:

- Have English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.
Scholarship Conditions
Successful applicants must agree to:
- Complete at least 6 months of study or research abroad during the PhD programme. International scholarship holders must complete 12 months abroad.
- Some research-specific scholarships also require at least 3 months of training or research in a company or public research institution.
Failure to meet these scholarship conditions may result in the loss of the scholarship.
